Ayla Grace Napier
This was taken the afternoon after she was born. She's not even a day old.
Daddy and Ayla the day she was born.

Ayla and Grandma Sherry. Grandma, Sarah, and Grandpa were up all night with Amy and Brett, and they were there when Ayla was born. It was a pretty special experience! Amy couldn't have done it without them!

Ayla with her Uncle Justin, Aunt Sarah, and cousin Jackson. Aunt Sarah had been up all night with Amy, and was there when Ayla was born. This is the first time Justin and Jackson got to meet Ayla.

Mommy and Ayla, the afternoon after she was born. It's a bright, cold, and loud world!

Ayla (3 days old) with her cousin Jackson, who was 8 months old at the time. He's still not quite sure what to think of her, but boy does she get his attention when someone picks her up. He also tries to scream over her when she cries, which can be such a joy when Sarah and Amy attempt to go somewhere with the two of them.
He can't quite figure out what or who she is, but he's going to love her. :+]

Ayla is 4 days old here, being held by her Grandma Sherry.
She's not quite sure she likes this new place.

5 days old... she's worn out from working so hard. When on her back she loves sleeping with her hands up behind her head or near her head. Grandpa Jack says she's practicing "Go Gators!"

She is one week old here. Ayla and Mommy took a bath together, which ended up a bit messier than Mom and Dad bargained for. After mommy handed her to Daddy, he wasn't quite fast enough with the diaper. Needless to say, she had to be bathed again. :=]

Ayla and Grandpa Jack. Ayla was 10 days old here.

For the first few weeks, this was Daddy's favorite position with Ayla. You can tell that she too is quite content. :+]

Ayla with Grandma Sherry.

Ayla's second day by the pool (under an umbrella). Her future so bright... :+]

Ayla is 2 weeks old.
Grandma Oma sees her for the first time.

Grandpa Ken, Daddy, and Ayla Grace. Three generations of Napiers. :+]

Taken August 25 , on mommy's birthday!

Ayla being held by Grandma Sherry. This is her first day on the beach, near the Pensacola Lighthouse. She's doing some deep thinking with that finger near her mouth!

Taking a snooze with the tiger "lovey" and stuffed pillow that Grandma Oma gave Ayla! It's so soft and cuddly. Ayla sleeps with the stuffed pillow every night.

Ayla's first Sunday, going to church.

Those eyes are always so big, bright, and alert! :+] She takes everything in.

Ayla, wearing one of the bibs Deanna made. Mommy calls it her Texas Two Step bib. :+]

Ayla, dressed for church.

Ayla and Mommy after church. That dress was just too hot and uncomfortable. Her favorite outfit is definitely her birthday suit.

Ayla, with the blanket her Great Aunt Chris made her.

Another outfit for church. The bow looks a whole lot bigger in this picture than it did on her head. She doesn't have much hair, so we want to make sure everyone knows she's a girl. :+}

Ayla and Mommy getting ready to take a long walk with Aunt Sarah and Jackson. Mommy took the picture, so that's why it's so close.

Ayla and Mommy about to go on another walk together.

It's amazing!!!
Ayla and Jackson finally asleep and quiet at the same time. ;+] You can be assured that this sweet moment was short lived.
These two pictures were taken on the way to church (9/30). Mommy was talking to Ayla and happened to catch a great shot of her smiling. She's started smiling and cooing more and more.
This is one of mommy's favorite pictures!!!

She is just beautiful! I am dying to meet her - and to talk to you all! Hope to see you soon! Love and miss you! CALL ME!
That picture of them sleeping makes me laugh. That was the same day Ayla was crying and Jackson tried to scream over her! Funny stuff!
